RE: how to get ez pass
You can sign up for E-Z pass on line thru the E-Z pass site. But to get towing discount you will find the application on the NYS Thruway web site. (Why I don't know) www.nysthruway.gov/ezpass/ta-w68176.pdf
That is the form you need unless you are doing it in person. Safe Travels.
PS. When you use the blue tag (towing discount) you wont have to stop and get re-classified, just go thru E-Z pass line.
Motorhomes towing a car get a better rate than us Truck/Fifthwheel owners. :(

RE: Atwood water heater funny problem (Updated)
You might want to call Atwood and talk to a tech person. Even if your heater is out of warranty they will help you. At least they did with our problem. Caused a fire,lucky we were there at the time to shut it off. A valve was sticking open. Atwood said that should not have happened. They sent us a replacement (no charge) and we sent them the old one so they could look it over and see what caused it. This was on a 1988 Prowler. Have only good to say about Atwood. :)

I have been posting my complaints over on the roads and routes forum. They are changing the trip planner, which was one of the best features of being a Good Sam member. Used it a lot over the last 18 years. Sad, I am not against change but something's that work should be left alone. :?

Sorry to report, it isn't the same. The new route program doesn't work so they put in an "interim" program to use, which is a shortened version of the old trip planner. My original post stands...I am disappointed in Good Sam. I am not against change..but why take away a good program. Oh well, Back to the road atlas or I will have to invest in a GPS. :(

Good Sam Trip maker CHANGED
Am I glad I printed out our vacation trip awhile ago. I just went on Good Sam and they have changed the trip planner. In my opinion it isn't as good as the old one. But this is my opinion. I liked the fuel estimates they gave you as well as preferred or avoid routes.

THANKS for all your posts. The reason I picked that campground was really gas mileage. Thought it would be easier to park the fifthwheel and travel to and from Moline with just the truck. Visiting John Deere before we attend the Holiday Rambler International Rally in Goshen. Leaving that campground wouldn't be such a long haul to get to the rally. I will definitely check out the ice cream/frozen yogurt in Moline. ;)

Anyone stay at Hickory Hollow CG Utica Il.
Looking for information about this campground. Thinking of using this as a base camp the end of July for a trip out to Moline. Want to vist John Deere. Is this a nice campground or does someone recomend some other campground? Also any tips while in Moline? Thanks in advance.
